Cranky Barista is a passion project that challenges standard café culture. Stemming from the idea that coffee is the best thing about mornings, this brand radiates a pessimistic attitude.

Beginning with typeface exploration, I selected a font with organic letterforms to establish the nonchalant tone of the brand and curated a muted and moody colour palette to match. The hand drawn illustrations were designed to embody the brand personality, intentionally left organic and unpolished to match the typeface.
